Evidently the director of the new Avengers movie has been selected and it is none other than our very own Joss Whedon. Hopefully it will be more of the Dollhouse/Serenity/Firefly/Angel/Buffy TV show Joss Whedon rather than the Alien Resurrection/Buffy movie Joss Whedon. Time will tell, but this news makes this particular Marvel fan happy.

Huh, I would have thought they would have gone with Jon Favreau, the director of both Iron Man movies and the Produce of Ed Norton's Incredible Hulk. Also interestingly enough there is no mention of Thor on the cast list even thought movie is current under production for it's 2011 release.
ReplyDeleteI thought that they had already locked up Favraeu for it, though it still makes no sense the way they have teased it already.
